Only he was able to do it without trying while drunk and while forgetting the words of the song. Justin performing drunk and killing the vocals better than I've ever heard him do before was the best version of this song. I'm not even a Bieber fan but that performance alone won me over.

@@clu7168 its a well known thing that you can put vocals through autotune live. You just have a direct link from the mic to the software. Plus is rly clear that both of them are using autotune for this, I don't think its a bad thing tho. It fits the tone of the song but I do think they went overboard. Justin is genuinely a good singer so he probably didn't need it

@@Takeru.17 as a long time jb fans, i can confirm that this is TRUE. justin always leave the high notes part in live performance. the falsettos, the high notes, makes me think sometimes what if all the high notes are edited/enhanced in the studio? 👀 or maybe his vocals are sooo inconsistent to the point where he don't want to do it live?

Song is catchy but the vocals in this performance are mediocre af but they get away with it because of the vocal effects. The Kid Laroi can't even do the flicks into falsetto in the chorus they're from the backing track.

Adding the extra synths during Justin's part was an excellent idea. Compare it to the original. When Beiber says the lyrics "never left me empty handed" you can hear the new synths and they help amplify the melody and the song even better.

I realize today that JB had so much hate for just doing what he loved, no other reason than free hate from everyone. Must've been terribly hard for him to go over this and having the pressure of everyone's expectations. He really did well because I remember I used to dislike what he did younger and now I kinda enjoy his music, hope he's doing good now. He totally deserves his success
